Business and Financial Management: Christian Perspective
Song:
I believe yes Lord I believe,
Yes Lord I believe
It is well with me
You might want to consider and further develop the following points:
I think believers must learn to courageously build trust and honesty in their respective place of business/work. How dependable are you? Can someone entrust money in your care? Do you mean what you say? What are the qualities of your products/services? Do you stick to your own part of agreement? Can a company supply goods on credit because of the excellent relationship you have built with them?
2. Vision.
Vision to me is having a clear-cut picture of tomorrow. Where do you want to be tomorrow in your business/work place? How far do you want to go? You need short term, medium term and long term goals to get to where you want to be.
3. Knowledge.
By knowledge I mean how much information do you have about your business/career? What are the current changes and challenges that you need to tackle? Who are your competitors? What are you doing right and what are your weaknesses? You need all these information to be able to improve. How much do you reinvest into that business to make it competitive?
4. Accountability and Documentation.
You need a succinct log of your daily transactions and expenses. Do you know the meaning of gross and net profit? Can you work out the cost of running your business or providing that service?
5. Patience and Hard-work.
What patience cannot do, impatience can never and will not do it. You need to make sacrifices and pay the price for success. The sacrifice of today will determine the success of tomorrow and the laziness of today will be paid dearly for tomorrow. You need to persevere in some businesses before you can break even but certainly not in all cases so you must carefully discern. You must separate pleasure from work.
God Bless You
