Let God's Word settle it!
Song:
1. Forever Oh Lord your word is settled, is settled in heaven forever (2x)
Introduction:
God’s word has answer for every question in life. His word has a solution for every problem you encounter. The earlier you know his word, the better for you. Use his word to refute every falsehood of the devil. Use his word to counteract every arrow the enemy throws at you. I cannot over emphasise the power in his word!
“Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. (Psalm 119:89).
'It is the spirit and the word, the spirit upon the word, and the spirit in us as we read the word.'
1. You say, 'It's impossible.' God says, '..."What is impossible with men is possible with God." (Luke 18:27).
2. You say, 'I'm exhausted.' He says,
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31).
3. You say, 'Nobody loves me.' He says, '..."I have loved you with an everlasting love"...' (Jeremiah 31:3).
4. You say, 'I can't go on.' He says, '..."My grace is sufficient for you"...'
(2 Corinthians 12:9).
5. You say, 'I don't know what to do.' He says, '..."And He shall direct your paths."' (Proverbs 3:6).
6. You say, 'I can't do it.' He says, '"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."' (Philippians 4:13).
7. You say, 'It's not worth it.' He says, '...we will reap a harvest if we do not give up' (Galatians 6:9).
8. You say, 'I can't forgive myself.' He says, '...in Christ God forgave you' (Ephesians 4:32).
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-20).
9. You say, 'I can't make ends meet.' He says, '...God shall supply all your need...' (Philippians 4:19).
10. You say, 'I'm afraid.' He says, '...God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power...'
(2 Timothy 1:7).
“We live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
11. You say, 'I can't handle this.' He says, 'Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you...' (Psalm 55:22).
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7).
12. You say, 'I'm not smart enough.' He says,
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” (James 1:5).
13. You say, 'I'm all alone.' He says, '...I will never leave you nor forsake you' (Hebrews 13:5).
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18).
Conclusion:
Can you say this to yourself: 'I stand on God's Word, and if the book goes down, I'll go with it.' Today let God's Word settle it!
God bless you
